12 Guiding Values Print E-mail
These 12 Guiding Values support the overall vision of the ministry, which is to Transform Lives Daily

Love (Matt. 22:37-40; 1Cor. 13; 1John 4:7-11)

Love is Christian perfection.  It encompasses all the characteristics we should esteem.  Therefore, all we do will be based in love, first toward the Lord and then toward others.

Maturing Into His Likeness (Eph. 4:13-16; Matt. 16:24-25; Col. 2:6-7)

As believers it is our greatest goal to become like Christ in our love for Him, each other, and the lost.  As our old nature is removed and our new nature in Christ matures, we will become a living witness of the power of His greatness and a shining beacon to bring hope to a darkened world.

Discipleship (Matt. 28:19-21, 2Thess. 2:15-17, 2Tim. 3:14-17)

Jesus, in the Great Commission, commands us to go into all the world and make disciples, teaching them to observe all that He commands us through His word.  We will endeavor to do just that with all who are in relationship with us.

Ministry of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8; John 14:26; John 16:7-15; Zech. 4:6; Is. 61:1-3; Acts 4:29-31; Acts 4:7-10; Mark 16:17-18)

The Holy Spirit is active and the source of all power for Christians to do the works of Jesus, and even greater works (John 14:12).  Everyone who believes in Jesus and has received the Holy Spirit has the ability and opportunity, according to their faith, to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit.  As the Apostle Paul declared to the Corinthian’s:

“And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”  -  1Cor 2:4-5  (NKJV)

Servant Leadership (Ps. 78:70-72; Matt. 20:26-28; John 13:13-15; Phil. 2:5-7; 1Peter 5:1-6)

In every leadership role, we will promote the biblical standard of service rather than lordship.  Rather than leading by strength of position, we will lead by strength of character.

Children & Youth (Prov. 22:6; Is. 11:6; Matt. 18:5-6)

Children & Youth are a vital part of the coming move of the Spirit, therefore we place a high priority on serving them, equipping them, and releasing them into their gifts and callings.

Community (Acts 2:42-47; 1Cor. 13; Phil. 2:1-4)

We recognize that Christianity is essentially a corporate experience, that we cannot completely fulfill God's purposes in our lives apart from the interaction with others.  As such, we will promote healthy relationships at every level; including the home, life groups, leadership teams, corporate gatherings, and within the body of Christ.

Communication (Ex. 20:1; Heb. 1:1-2)

God has always characterized Himself by communication with His creation.  Therefore, out of our respect for the worth of people before God and our desire to eliminate unnecessary conflict, we will attempt to communicate as much as necessary to as many as possible, as soon as possible.

Integrity (Ps. 26; James 5:12; Matt. 22:37-40; Gal. 5:22-26)

We desire to have an essential wholeness of character in every interaction, both with God and man, including a basic agreement between what we profess to be and what we are; that our "Yes" would be "yes" and our "No," "no" and that our responses to life's circumstances reflect the fruit of the Spirit.

Stewardship (Mal. 3:10; Matt. 6:33; 2Cor. 9:6-9)

We will seek to be diligent, responsible stewards of all the resources (including time, talents, finances) that God has entrusted to us, striving to ensure that no resource is uselessly squandered or wasted.

Excellence (Col. 3:17, 23-24; 1Peter 2:9-12)

In order to bring the greatest glory and honor to God, and in order to build a platform of respect with the world, we desire to do everything at the highest standard possible.  We believe that God deserves nothing less than our very best.

Creativity (Gen. 1:1; Ps. 96:1)

We believe that the Lord who created the universe is able to do much more than we are able to conceive or think, therefore we expect that as we seek Him and His direction that every aspect of our ministry will reflect His creativity.
